PERSONALITY: Lea is a mystery wrapped in an enigma… or, at least, that’s what he likes to think abut himself. There was once a time when that was true, when Lea didn’t wear his heart and his emotions on his sleeve for all to see. And that’s when he didn’t have a Heart. As a Nobody named Axel, Lea was cold and calculating with a merciless streak a mile wide. He was trusted by the leader of the Organization as a cleaner or fixer, responsible for taking out defectors and traitors — and his fellow Organization members feared making in onto the assassin’s hitlist. He was fairly quiet and no one really knew what he was thinking, or if he could really be trusted. His friendship with Saïx, the Nobody of his former best friend Isa, even became strained as they drifted apart. Initially, he was irritated about being forced to “babysit” Roxas, and his friendliness toward the boy was false.
However, as time passed, and Axel spent more and more time with Roxas, and then Xion, he started feeling things again. False friendships turned into real ones, and long-forgotten emotions made their way back to the surface, revealing the friendly boy that Lea used to be. Once he is whole again, Lea shows strong remorse for the deeds he committed while he was a Nobody, apologizing to Kairi to the point of the girl’s irritation.
As a teenager and then again, as a recompleted man, Lea is a sarcastic, competitive, and hotheaded, befitting a fire-aligned fellow like himself. He has a less than subtle obsession with being remembered. He believes that as long as someone living remembers him, he can, in effect, become immortal through their memories. It’s a bit of a silly notion, and he knows it, but he has chosen to stick to that particular gun. Lea treasures these bonds above all, and would (and has!) gone to any length to rescue and protect those he considers his friends. By the same token, he can be a little too protective, and even controlling. He often puts his own interests before anyone else’s, and can be quite selfish.

• Redhead with fire powers and all the associated personality baggage
• Would unironically wear a shirt declaring “Sarcasm is just one of the services I offer”
• Thinks he’s a lot cooler than he is
• Supposedly cunning but frequently eats shit
• Hangs out with teenagers mostly and is either the best or worst big brother figure, depending on who you ask
• Down with murder — less down than before, though.
• Missed some critical emotional checkpoints while having no heart, thanks Xehanort. He’s working on it.
• Is generally a good friend, but a little controlling.
• Please remember him, he’s desperate.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
Keyblade: Lea is able to wield a magical weapon called a keyblade — his has a fire motif and is called “Flame Liberator”. Yes, his dork-ass named it himself. Keyblades can be used like swords or other close-range weapons, as well as channeling magic. Some can even change shape. Lea’s can take the form of a pair of chakrams called Eternal Flames. These wheel-like weapons can be thrown and manipulated midair, and return to his hands like boomerangs. Additionally, keyblades can lock and unlock any door but I'm pretty sure no one told Lea about that.
Magic: Lea has an affinity for fire magic and can use several high-powered fire spells (Firaga, Firaza, Flare, etc) with or without his keyblade. As such, he is also fairly resistant to heat and fire. With his keyblade, he can use low-level Thunder, Aero, and Cure spells. He is incapable of using Water or Blizzard magic. Maybe one day, Cordis.
Skilled fighter: Lea is agile and strong, able to leap around the battlefield and attack with the grace and elegance of a dancer. A very tall, spiky dancer. His fighting style focuses on speed and quick, powerful attacks — defense is usually at the bottom of his priority list.
Magic Clothes: A goddamn for real actual wizard made his goth-scene-chic outfit. It is resistant to damage and also transformation related mishaps. Additionally, the Black Coats, like the one in his inventory, are renowned for their ability to repel darkness and protect the heart.
